Our Little Love Story : Part Two

I know, I’ve been keeping you on the edge of your seats waiting for the next part to our little love story. A couple weeks ago, I shared about how Logan and I met in Our Little Love Story: Part One. Go back and read that post to refresh yourself as we hop right into the middle of this love story. We left off with Logan sitting in his car for 30 minutes trying to gain the courage to come upstairs to tell me how he felt…. Now if Logan was telling you this part of the story he would say that he knocked on the door and then sat on the couch and poured out his heart to me and I said, word-for-word, “I like you, […]

Valentine’s Day Love Is In The Air Printable

Valentine’s Day Love Is In The Air Printable Love is in the air folks. And since I work from home and it’s been raining and snowing A LOT lately, let’s just say that I haven’t had much fresh air. So maybe it’s just MY air. But everywhere I look, love is in the air. If you’ve ever heard the phrase “love is a verb”, marriage will show you how true this is…especially marriage in the middle of a home renovation. My amazing husband has been day-after-day working through this crazy home renovation we’ve undertaken. He’s worked through body aches and pains to just keep going. He’s insisted that I don’t over extend myself by trying to help too much at 6 months (goodness gracious, almost […]

How To Choose a Wedding Photographer

This week on Wedding Wednesday we’re talking all about how to choose a wedding photographer. It’s one of the next things on our Ultimate Wedding Checklist. How To Choose a Wedding Photographer Don’t Skimp On Your Wedding Photographer One of the most important pieces of advice we received during the wedding planning process was “don’t skimp on the photographer”. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… your wedding is only ONE DAY. It is so fleeting and there is so much time, energy and money poured into the big day. The only things that stick around after the cake is all gone are your photos (and video if you have a videographer). You will probably see your wedding photos daily if you hang […]

12 Small Bathroom Ideas | Small Bathroom Organizing Tips

12 Small Bathroom Ideas

12 Small Bathroom Ideas We recently “moved into” our master bathroom and I can’t tell you how nice it is to have a bathroom in our master bedroom again. I don’t have to stumble down the hall in the middle of the night anymore to go potty…(middle of the night potty trips are getting to be frequent and bound to get worse as this preggo lady gets more preggo!) The only downside of our en-suite master bathroom is that it is extremely small and awkward (check it out in our pre-renovation home tour here). I’m still trying to get everything organized and pretty in there with my limited storage space, so I thought I would share with you some of the great Small Bathroom Ideas […]

Installing Closet Systems + Valentine’s Day Giveaway

Installing Closet Systems Note: at the end of this post, there’s a fun Valentine’s Day giveaway, so don’t forget to sign up. Everywhere I look everyone seems to organizing something or cleaning something else. I guess it that’s time of year! I thought it was a good time to share with you all about the closet systems we installed as part of our home renovation. When we moved in, the closets were the older and dated one-shelf, one-bar look that you find in many homes (see photos below or click here for a full pre-reno home tour). They didn’t seem very efficient and they certainly didn’t look pretty. Since we were downsizing, we knew we needed to take full advantage of the closet space and […]

15 Tips for Wedding Dress Shopping

I know, I know…it’s been a while since an installment of Wedding Wednesday. But I have some fun posts in the works about all things wedding planning, so stay tuned. One of the next things up on our Ultimate Wedding Checklist is to find and purchase “the dress”. 15 Tips for Wedding Dress Shopping Wedding dress shopping is one of the most exciting aspects of the whole wedding planning process, but it can also be a stressful time spent worrying about budget, body image issues, pleasing others and it can possibly bring on anxiety as your big day begins to feel even closer. With my 15 Tips for Wedding Dress Shopping, hopefully some of these stresses can be eliminated or lessened. 1.  Have a budget in mind  Remember when […]

2016 Goals | Goal Setting | New Year's Resolutions

2016 Goals and My Wish For You

I secretly hate New Years Resolutions. Yes, those decisions we make at the beginning of each year that we quickly forget come mid-January. Goals, however, I could do some goal setting in my sleep. I’m to-do list making, deadline-driven person. I’m also lucky because my husband loves goals and looking over my shoulder at the to-do lists. At work, I have running to-do list that gets updated every Monday morning. For our home renovation, we have a LONG list of to-do’s and goals. Occasionally when I’m feeling overwhelmed with the amount of things I must get done from the time I get off work until I go to bed, I jot down a quick list. But it usually stops there. Although I have goals in […]

Baby Boy Rustic Woodland Nursery Inspiration

This post contains affiliate links, but nothing that I wouldn’t wholeheartedly recommend anyway! Read my full disclosure here. Baby Boy Rustic Woodland Nursery Inspiration In case you missed our exciting announcement, we’re gearing up to add a little guy to our family at the end of the April. Since we found out that we’re pregnant, I’ve been daydreaming of setting up a cute little nursery in our empty back bedroom. We knew kids were in the near future, so we didn’t move anything into that room yet and lucky me, I’ve got a blank slate to work from! We are so extremely excited to become parents and there is so much other prep involved besides decorating a nursery; it almost seems trivial as we embark on the […]

DIY Reclaimed Wood Bed

DIY Reclaimed Wood Bed Hey guys! I’m so excited to share our DIY Reclaimed Wood Bed with you today. This is an older project – something that my husband built over a year ago. When we were setting up the bed in our new master bedroom in the new house (check out the pre-reno tour here!), I decided to snap a few photos to share with you. Any handy man (or woman!) should be able to take a good look at the photos and recreate. This post is not a detailed tutorial (because I didn’t take any photos when he was actually building it!). I don’t take ANY credit for this, it’s all my amazing husband. I just pointed at the pictures of inspiration I […]

Pregnancy Announcement with Dog

An exciting announcement!

Gannon has some news he wants to share with the blog world. We’re having a baby! We are so thrilled and blessed to be adding a little one to our family. Tomorrow I’ll be 20 weeks along… halfway. Many of you that know me in “real” life already know this exciting news. This week was an important week because we found out…. We had our ultrasound Tuesday morning and had the technician write down the gender on this notecard and put in an envelope. We were going to take it out to breakfast and open together after the appointment (I knew I was going to be way too giddy to go to work right after the appointment)…..well, I made it out to the car in the […]
